Tracks

Workshop tracks are subject to change pending the final selection of Call for Presentations applications. Below are potential workshop tracks California Manos del Corazón would like to offer.

 

Advocacy/Empowerment/Community Leadership – This track offers skills and strategies for DDBDDHHLD Latinx to incorporate for self-advocacy/empowerment, community advocacy/empowerment, and/or community leadership.

 

Interpreting/Communication Access/Culture Honor – This track offers a dialogue which covers aspects of interpreting and communication access that honors individual Latinx culture. Intersectional interpreting is included in this track as we gain knowledge about our intersectionalities.

 

Culture – California Manos del Corazón honors our Latinx culture and offers workshops to discover, share, and celebrate all aspects of our culture in our daily lives. This track includes workshops on cultural traditions such as dance, food, art/art expression, folklore, and values.

 

Skills and Training – California Manos del Corazón knows DDBDDHHLD Latinx seek opportunities to succeed and thrive in today’s competitive world. Workshops include education, employment, entrepreneurship, media/technology, literacy,


Health and Wellbeing – Self care is essential to survive today’s competitive world. This track offers information and tips on taking care of yourself whether it be emotional, mental, physical, or social.

Immigration/Legal Rights – Immigration changes daily when laws change. Our legal rights often depend on the political climate. Workshops offer current information and requirements to ensure our legal rights in addition to support individual journeys in the complex immigration world.
